This is down at what they call heritage Point these days where the guns were on near the SIG station and the the one through there I got better photos of it was my grandfather's on my mother's side, his holiday house and that was the house I was born in. So I was born on MMM beach. You'll still see pile ONS down there. Yeah, some will tell you it was a jetty. It was never a jetty. It was this pipeline ran out to get cooling water out of the sea to get pumped in. MMM was actually in 1916. And that's why they put the smelter. It can a ******. When that didn't workout, they moved to here. The company, they went broke very quick, but they left that chimney stack. So in World War 2, they put a ladder up and there was a platform in the top and it was going to be an observation point plus a lookout, but also a range Finder for firing the guns from Hill 60. Beneath Hill 60, the Germans, it was in Belgium and the Germans were tunneling one way and the Allies were tunneling the other way. And I have a letter to postcard here describing when they blew it. They're all X minus. And this fellow, Sergeant Duncan Ferguson, was my grandfather beneath Hill 60 in World War 10. Wow. This Hill 60 that we know got called that because of the tunnels they put in after the one in Belgium. So he was connected, and this was his holiday house that I was born in. OK.
